The opening tie finished 0–0 after extra time, with Mika winning the shootout. Shirak beat Lernayin Artsakh 7–1, Alashkert beat BKMA 4–0 and Ararat-Armenia beat Olympia 4–1 after extra time to reach the quarterfinals.
Mika became the first Armenian Cup football quarterfinalists on 25 October, beating Avshar Ararat 5–3 on penalties after a 0–0 draw through normal and extra time. Ararat-Armenia secured their place on 29 October with a 4–1 extra-time win over Olympia, breaking a 1–1 deadlock with goals at 105+3, 115 and 119 minutes.
Mika hosted the opening round-of-16 tie between two Armenian First League clubs, ending Avshar Ararat’s cup run.
Alioune Ndour put Ararat-Armenia ahead with a penalty in the 15th minute. Guilherme de Oliveira Jesus equalised for First League club Olympia in the 30th minute.
Ndour had another chance from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute, with 18 minutes of normal time remaining. Armsport’s match account said his shot went well wide. Neither side scored again before normal time ended, so the 1–1 draw took the match into extra time, an additional playing period used to settle the tie.
The Yerevan club took the lead in added time at the end of the first half of extra time. Two more goals in the closing minutes secured their quarterfinal place and eliminated Olympia.
Pyunik beat Ararat and Urartu came from behind against Andranik, taking both Yerevan clubs into the football cup’s quarterfinals.
