The Food Safety Inspectorate says laboratory samples failed safety requirements and has suspended production of the two products until the violations are corrected.

Armenia’s Food Safety Inspectorate has ordered Ashtarak Milk to suspend production of two dairy products at its facility at 13 Dro Street in Yerevan until identified safety violations are corrected. The regulator’s notice was published by Civic.am on October 22, 2026.
The order followed an inspection during which samples of both products were sent for laboratory testing. According to the inspectorate, the samples failed safety and food-hygiene requirements under the Customs Union’s technical regulation on milk and dairy safety and applicable food-safety laws.
The inspectorate’s decision identifies the following products:
| Product | Package size |
|---|---|
| Classic 9% cottage cheese | 500g |
| Cappuccino-flavoured ice cream with milk-fat substitute | 450g |
The notice orders a targeted suspension of production, not a factory-wide closure or a product recall. Ashtarak Milk must correct the identified violations before it can resume making the two affected products at this facility.
