The games studio says post-launch development of Boltgun II and Warhammer Survivors will continue despite the planned staff reduction.

Game developer Auroch Digital announced on October 26 that it plans to lay off roughly 25% of its current workforce as part of a restructuring. The studio’s statement was reproduced by Rock Paper Shotgun.
The announcement followed the recent release of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II and came ahead of Warhammer Survivors’ scheduled November launch. Auroch Digital said market conditions that had challenged other developers had also affected its business.
The original social media posts announcing the cuts were later deleted. The reason for their removal is unknown.
Auroch Digital apologised to affected employees and asked other studios that are hiring to consider them for jobs. It said their experience ranged from independent shooting games to work alongside other developers on major productions.
For players, the studio said post-launch development—work on a game after its release—would continue on both Boltgun II and Warhammer Survivors despite the staff reduction. Warhammer Survivors is scheduled to launch in November.
