The agency says other applications remain fully or partly usable and plans to extend tax-filing deadlines, with new dates to follow.

Belgium’s Federal Public Service Finance said on October 28 that a cyberattack had hit its digital services. It temporarily shut its online tax portal and several other services, and said it would extend tax-filing deadlines because of the disruption.
A large portion of the agency’s other applications remain available, though some work only partially, the agency said.
The agency said it shut the services as a precaution to limit risks while technicians secure its systems, in an account carried by CNA Business. It said it was investigating the attack and had no indication of a data breach or stolen data.
The agency has not announced replacement filing dates. It said it would provide a new date as soon as possible, leaving affected filers to await the revised deadline.

The agency has extended the affected October 31 deadline while MyMinfin, Tax-on-web and Biztax remain offline after a cyberattack, giving taxpayers until November 16 to file.
