The bicycle brand plans a West Coast support office and a new North American sales model as it transfers global functions to Europe.

Bicycle maker Cannondale plans to close its US headquarters in Wilton, Connecticut, by mid-2027 and move its global base to the Netherlands as owner Pon.Bike restructures the business, Cycling Weekly reported on October 22.
Cannondale was founded in Connecticut in 1971. Woudenberg, currently its European base, is to become its global headquarters.
Cannondale says global functions now based in Wilton will join existing European teams during a transition extending into 2027. Woudenberg will bring together global leadership, brand and marketing, product management and other central functions. Research and development and engineering will be based in Freiburg, Germany.
Cycling Weekly, citing Escape Collective’s reporting, says as many as 143 people working in Wilton or remotely could be laid off, in roles ranging from engineering to vice presidents. Cannondale says it is still working through what the transition means for individual roles and responsibilities at the Wilton office.
Cannondale plans to open a smaller office on the US West Coast. The company says a dedicated commercial, retailer and rider support team there will serve shops and bicycle owners across North America.
In the announcement reported on October 22, Cannondale said it would adopt a new North American sales model over the next six months. Cycling Weekly describes the planned model as unified with other Pon.Bike brands.
