Annual consumer-price inflation in the eurozone reached 4% in October, up from 3.8% in September and its highest level in three years, The Guardian said, citing a flash estimate from the statistics office Eurostat.

Core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, remained at 2.5%. That figure was in line with economists’ expectations.
