TBellScout, a startup owned by technology entrepreneur Steven Schuurman, has acquired Flawless’s TrueSync dubbing technology and DeepEditor film-editing tool. Schuurman, who founded software company Elastic, confirmed the purchase to Deadline in its October 30, 2026 report.
Deadline said the technology belonged to Flawless Holdings Limited, the UK trading company that entered administration earlier that month. Administration put an insolvency specialist in charge of its operations. Co-founders Scott Mann and Nick Lynes retain control of the separate US business, Flawless AI Inc.
The UK company was founded in 2020. Amit Kapur became Flawless’s co-CEO in March 2026 after serving on its board since 2024.
Deadline said Sprk Capital, a UK technology lender, appointed insolvency specialist BTG as administrator. Sprk Capital holds security for repayment of its lending to Flawless. BTG took over the company’s operations and sold the technology to TBellScout.
Deadline describes TrueSync as Flawless’s visual dubbing tool and DeepEditor as a superintelligence (SI) tool that changes dialogue and performances without reshoots by matching actors’ mouth movements to new lines.
Flawless raised $100 million from wealthy individuals, rather than venture capital, to develop its technology, Deadline said. That figure is funding, not the acquisition price. The sale price and circumstances remain undisclosed, and it is unclear whether Artistic Rights Treasury, Flawless’s rights-management platform, changed hands.

Deadline said Mann and Lynes built relationships and deals with Hollywood studios through the US company by taking a consent-based approach to SI, and that Flawless’s dubbing technology was endorsed by SAG-AFTRA.
Mann’s 2022 thriller Fall provided one example: Flawless’s technology visually replaced swearing to secure a PG-13 rating. The tools were also used on the science-fiction film Watch the Skies, whose English-language version Flawless partnered with XYZ Films to release in US cinemas.
Deadline said Mann and Lynes were exploring a possible new venture.
