Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Court ordered an individual to pay Hrazdan municipality AMD 128 million after invalidating a land sale, according to the prosecution’s account published by Civic.am, a news site close to the governing Civil Contract party. The compensation is to follow the judgment’s entry into legal force.
The 30 October 2026 judgment invalidated the 29 May 2007 sale contract for a 1.35-hectare parcel formerly in Hrazdan’s Jrarat neighborhood. Its current address is 36 M. Mkrtchyan Street in Tsaghkadzor.
The court partially upheld the Prosecutor General’s Office’s claim against the municipality and the individual. It ordered monetary compensation as bilateral restitution because the property itself could not be returned. The prosecution described the amount as a difference in market value assessed at the time the property was acquired.

The Democrat says Republican Michael Whatley acknowledged the result, confirming the seat change.
