Meta has acquired Conductor, a coding startup whose cloud service is scheduled to shut down on 20 November. The company will begin deleting users’ cloud data after the shutdown.

In a report on 4 November 2026, TechCrunch said Meta had confirmed the acquisition but had not disclosed further deal details, including the price. Conductor was founded in 2024 and launched its product in July 2025.

Conductor uses superintelligence (SI) coding agents—software that works on programming tasks—in parallel workspaces. The company says the agents are designed to help developers work together on separate parts of a project.

What happens to customer work

Conductor says it has built a way to transfer cloud workspaces for local use. Apart from the cloud service, its existing features will continue to work normally until early 2027, founder and CEO Charlie Holtz said.

Holtz also said the company has plans for a new interface and promised customers something new to use in early 2027. He did not specify what that interface would be.
