Meta has announced plans to offer $95 billion in newly issued stock to fund its superintelligence (SI) buildout, Fortune said in its October 27 report. The announcement sets out a financing plan, rather than money already raised.
The proposed offering is dilutive: adding new shares would mean each existing share represents a smaller proportion of Meta. That is the ownership consequence for shareholders of financing the expansion through newly issued stock.
Meta’s stock declined nearly 2% after the announcement.

Meta increased its priced Class A offering from $22.5 billion to $25 billion; a separate $60 billion share-sale program remains a plan that could follow trading in its new Class C shares.
