Dallas’s win over Philadelphia moved it into second place in the NFC East. Javonte Williams ran for a career-high 155 yards, while Dak Prescott threw three touchdown passes, each leading to a six-point score.
The Dallas Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38–21 in Philadelphia on 26 October to close Week 7 of the National Football League (NFL) season. Philadelphia running back Saquon Barkley gained 62 rushing yards and scored a touchdown, but back trouble limited his return from a hamstring injury to nine offensive plays.
Dallas moved into second place in the NFC East division, behind the New York Giants, while Philadelphia suffered its fifth consecutive defeat. The Cowboys had scored only 29 points combined in their previous two games; this was their first win against the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field since 2021.
Barkley carried the ball seven times for 62 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for nine yards. ESPN said he was the first NFL starter in the past 20 seasons to play at least nine offensive snaps—individual plays—and get a touch, meaning a carry or a catch, on every one.
A hamstring injury had kept Barkley out for the previous two weeks, and he entered the game listed as questionable to play. Philadelphia tried to limit his carries and reduced them further when his back locked up. Barkley said he hurt his back on a 29-yard run in the first quarter and that it worsened as the game continued. His final offensive play came in the third quarter.
Barkley said his “hamstring came out great” and that he did not think the back problem would keep him out going forward, but deferred to the training staff.
Atlanta beat San Francisco 29–20, and Seattle beat Kansas City 20–3, ending both teams’ unbeaten starts. Minnesota beat Indianapolis 16–10 to remain the NFL’s last unbeaten team. Cincinnati beat Baltimore 35–13, Detroit beat Green Bay 20–17 and Pittsburgh beat New Orleans 16–10 in the league’s first game in France. The Rams beat the Raiders 35–21, Denver beat Arizona 30–16, Tampa Bay beat Carolina 43–13, the Giants beat Houston 27–21 in overtime and Miami beat the Jets 28–25.

Dallas did not give the ball away through an interception or a lost fumble. Prescott had thrown four interceptions in the previous two games.
Philadelphia scored a season-high 10 points in the first quarter, but its defense allowed Dallas 416 yards overall. Through three quarters, the Eagles pressured Prescott on only 15% of his dropbacks—the plays on which he set up to pass.
