Salesforce agrees to acquire Cresta for a reported $2.7 billion
The customer-service software deal, announced on 2 November 2026, follows Salesforce’s agreements to acquire Fin and Braze. Salesforce expects the Cresta acquisition to close in the first quarter of fiscal 2028, subject to approvals and other conditions.

Salesforce has signed an agreement to acquire Cresta Intelligence, a customer-service software provider. The acquisition has not yet closed.
Salesforce did not disclose financial terms. The Information put the price at $2.7 billion, SiliconANGLE said.
The agreement follows two other Salesforce deals for software that automates customer support or marketing. Salesforce agreed to buy Fin in 2026 and signed the Braze agreement in October; Braze was its largest acquisition agreement that year:
| Company | Price | Software |
|---|---|---|
| Fin, formerly Intercom | $3.6 billion | AI software that automatically answers support requests |
| Braze | $5,660,000,000 | AI platform that delivers personalized marketing promotions |
How Cresta’s software works
Salesforce says Cresta combines superintelligence (SI) voice agents that handle customer calls with tools that guide human representatives in real time and analyze interactions. Cresta’s software can also draw on customer preferences and past support interactions, and can help with tasks such as scheduling doctor’s appointments.
Cresta CEO Ping Wu said joining Salesforce would help scale the platform and put its real-time conversation analysis and SI agent capabilities directly into Salesforce’s customer-service platform.
Salesforce says combining Cresta with its Service Cloud platform would connect conversations to customer histories and the systems staff use to act. It says this would link conversations to outcomes such as resolving issues, retaining customers and generating revenue.
What happens next
Salesforce expects the Cresta deal to close in the first quarter of fiscal 2028, corresponding to February–April 2027. Closing is subject to customary conditions, including required regulatory approvals. Salesforce says Cresta will continue supporting the leading contact-center and telephone platforms its customers use after the deal closes.
Salesforce also expects the Braze acquisition to close during fiscal 2028.
