Armenian champions Unisport lost 2–0 to Lithuania’s Kauno Žalgiris in Luxembourg on 27 October in their opening Group 6 match of the 2026–27 UEFA Futsal Champions League main round. The Football Federation of Armenia confirmed the result and Vinicius Carvalho’s two goals in its 28 October account. The Brazilian international scored both goals in the first half.
Unisport reached the main round by winning preliminary-round Group E in Yerevan with nine points from three victories. This is their first European campaign, which began in the preliminary round.
Group 6 belongs to Path B, one of the main round’s two routes. Only the winners of each Path B group reach the round of 16; the other three teams are eliminated. Unisport had no points after their opening match, with two games remaining.
UEFA moved Unisport from Group 5 to Group 6 because its rules bar matches between Armenian and Azerbaijani teams. Unisport exchanged places with Újpest to avoid facing Azerbaijan’s Araz-Naxçivan in Group 5.
The federation’s 28 October account lists Luxembourg’s Differdange 03 as Unisport’s next opponent, with the match scheduled for 28 October.
