Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Court ordered an individual to pay Areni community in Vayots Dzor AMD 5.251 million after invalidating an auction of a 5-hectare land parcel, the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
The auction took place on 14 April 2011. The prosecution authority filed a lawsuit against the community and the individual on 26 November 2025, seeking to invalidate the auction and apply the consequences of invalidity.
The court granted the lawsuit in its 20 October 2026 judgment. It ordered compensation because returning the property itself was impossible, the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
The office said Areni would receive the payment after the judgment enters legal force.

Nikol Pashinyan projected AMD 3.604 trillion (about $10 billion) in revenue, with roughly AMD 4.1 trillion (about $11.4 billion) in spending and AMD 1.084 trillion (about $3 billion) for the welfare ministry. The budget remains under committee review.
