Armenia Stock Exchange held a government-bond auction on 29 October 2026 at an 8.8186% weighted-average yield to maturity. Banks.am gave the offered amount as AMD 40 billion for bond AMGB1129A357, which it described as an 11-year bond.
Businessdaily.am said Armenia’s Ministry of Finance placed AMD 40 billion of the bond. That provides a reported placement amount, distinct from the amount offered.
The bond’s 9% annual coupon measures the interest promised each year as a share of its face value—the amount due for repayment at maturity—not its purchase price.
The 8.8186% yield to maturity instead relates the purchase price to all scheduled interest payments and repayment of principal. It estimates an investor’s annual return if the bond is held to maturity and payments arrive as scheduled; it is not a guaranteed return.
Banks.am classified the following separate auctions as buybacks, rather than part of the long-term bond offer. Businessdaily.am described those auctions as placements.

Banks.am says government bonds are available through the exchange’s trading platform and online via gp.minfin.am.
For AMGB1129A357, Businessdaily.am gives the maturity date as 29 October 2035. That is the repayment date, rather than an additional 11 years after this auction.
