Armenia’s Investigative Committee has newly received criminal proceedings concerning former Civil Contract MP Hayk Sargsyan from the Anti-Corruption Committee, chairman Artur Poghosyan said. He said urgent investigative actions were underway.
Poghosyan’s remarks to journalists were published on 3 November by Civic.am, a news site close to the governing Civil Contract party. He did not disclose the alleged offense or Sargsyan’s procedural status—his formal legal position in the proceedings.
Poghosyan said the committee would inform the public when investigators had information relevant to assigning procedural status or providing an update. He gave no deadline.
