The unanimous decision by the international and European federations sets the event for October 9–17, 2027.
Armenia has been selected to host the 2027 European Muay Thai Championships, Civic.am said on October 28. The boards of the International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) and the European Muaythai Federation (EMF) unanimously made the decision at a meeting in Paris.
IFMA governs amateur and professional muay thai, while EMF is its European federation. In an account published on November 21, 2025, IFMA said the European board had discussed Armenia and Hungary as candidates for the 2027 championships at a meeting in Athens.

The championships are scheduled for October 9–17, 2027.
