Bayegan Pendik won after the Open leaders drew, while Odlar Yurdu beat the women’s leader, Chess.com reports, leaving both title races level before the final round.

Round six left three teams sharing the lead in both competitions at the European Chess Club Cup, according to Chess.com’s October 22 report. Bayegan Pendik Chess Sports Club caught SuperChess Romania and Novy Bor Chess Club in the Open event. Odlar Yurdu and defending champion Cercle d’Echecs de Monte-Carlo joined CE Gambit Bonnevoie at the top of the women’s competition.
SuperChess and Novy Bor had entered the round as the only Open teams with perfect records. Bonnevoie had led the women’s event alone after beating the three highest-seeded teams. The European Chess Union’s seven-round club-team tournament runs October 17–23 in Budva, Montenegro.
SuperChess and Novy Bor drew their match, allowing top-seeded Bayegan Pendik to join them with a narrow victory. Chess.com reported these results:
| Team | Score | Opponent |
|---|---|---|
| SuperChess Romania | 3–3 | Novy Bor Chess Club |
| Bayegan Pendik Chess Sports Club | 3.5–2.5 | Tuxera Aquaprofit Nagykanizsai |
Four games produced winners in the leaders' six-game match. Victories by Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Bogdan-Daniel Deac were balanced by wins for Nihal Sarin and David Navara, leaving neither club ahead.

The Armenian grandmaster took an individual medal at the women’s tournament in Budva, while her Luxembourg club CE Gambit Bonnevoie finished second.

Bayegan Pendik overcame Anish Giri’s loss to Pranesh M. on the top board. Amin Tabatabaei beat Andrei Volokitin, while Volodar Murzin defeated Maksim Chigaev. Murzin said he had been in a bad position with little time before finding a tactic that turned the game.
Odlar Yurdu beat Bonnevoie through the only decisive game in their match. The first three games were drawn, but Khanim Balajayeva defeated Aleksandra Maltsevskaya in the fourth. Chess.com reported that Maltsevskaya had briefly had a chance to force a win before Balajayeva took control of the endgame.
Monte-Carlo also needed just one winning game to take its match. Stavroula Tsolakidou beat Deimante Daulyte-Cornette, while the other games were drawn. The victory brought Monte-Carlo level with Bonnevoie and Odlar Yurdu.
The final round is scheduled for Friday, October 23, at 14:00 CEST. SuperChess and Bayegan Pendik face one another, while Novy Bor plays Elektroprivreda, which is one match point behind. None of the women’s leaders meet each other, and teams behind them can still draw level on match points, though tiebreak rules may separate them, Chess.com reports.
