Jersey beat Papua New Guinea by 172 runs in Nairobi to secure progression to the next stage of Cricket World Cup qualifying, BBC Sport reported on 22 October.
The teams were competing in Challenge League A, where a top-two finish earns a place in the qualifier play-off. The victory guarantees Jersey one of those two places; it is progression through qualifying, not a place at the World Cup itself.
