Tyler Maxson secured the 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup North America Pro championship by finishing third in Race 1 at Circuit of The Americas on October 24. The result settled the title with one race remaining.
Maxson entered the race with a 29-point lead over Aaron Jeansonne after earning two points for pole position—the first starting spot—in Race 1. His pole position for Race 2 proved decisive in clinching the championship, Sportscar365 said.
Janne Stiak passed Maxson for the lead on the opening lap, while Jeansonne moved into second. Maxson closed on his title rival before the first full-course caution, which slowed racing across the circuit, with less than 20 minutes remaining.
Racing resumed with nine minutes left, but a three-car incident on the approach to Turn 1 brought out another caution shortly afterwards. The race finished under that caution, leaving the leading three unchanged.

Scott Blind led from the start to win the Masters class. In Pro-Am, GMG Racing’s James Sofronas led all 13 laps to take the class victory.
The season finale, Race 2, is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, at 10:35 a.m. CDT, with Maxson starting from pole and the Pro championship already decided.

The 16-year-old was sent off at Fleetwood in his second start of the season, leaving Arsenal short of wing options before Sunday’s trip to Liverpool.
