Defending champion Elena Rybakina and unseeded Leylah Fernandez reached the Ningbo Open women’s singles final with matching 6–3, 7–5 victories, Al Jazeera reported. Rybakina defeated Diana Shnaider after Fernandez beat Marie Bouzkova in the earlier semi-final.
| Winner | Opponent | Score |
|---|---|---|
| Elena Rybakina | Diana Shnaider | 6–3, 7–5 |
| Leylah Fernandez | Marie Bouzkova | 6–3, 7–5 |
Rybakina took control early with powerful shots from the back of the court, but a dip in form delayed the end of the opening set. She finally secured it on her 11th chance to win the set, according to Al Jazeera.
In the second set, Rybakina won a game on Shnaider’s serve to lead 4–3. Shnaider levelled at 5–5 by winning all four points in the 10th game, when Rybakina was serving. Rybakina immediately won another game on Shnaider’s serve, then won her own service game to complete the victory.
Rybakina will face Fernandez in Sunday’s final, with the defending champion seeking a second consecutive Ningbo title.

The world No. 1 saved all four break points in the women’s singles final to claim her tour-leading fourth title of 2026.
