Batmobile Racing’s Will Tregurtha secured the 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia championship at Monza by finishing 0.3 seconds ahead of Gustaw Wisniewski in the very wet season finale, Sportscar365 reported on October 23.
The title remained undecided after VSR drivers Liam Sceats and Wisniewski won the opening race in dry conditions, reducing their championship deficit to Tregurtha. The contest for the Asian crown then lasted until the final lap of the second race.
Sportscar365 described Tregurtha defending against Wisniewski in the closing laps as both caught VSR driver Todd Kingsford. Contact between the two VSR cars sent Kingsford spinning, but Wisniewski continued chasing Tregurtha and finished just three-tenths of a second behind him.
Zhicong Li and Titus Sherlock won that race. Tregurtha’s championship-clinching result was therefore not a race victory: finishing ahead of Wisniewski was enough to secure the title.
Tregurtha told Sportscar365 that earlier contact had left the steering about 55 degrees off-centre while driving straight, and that bent-in mirrors prevented him from seeing behind the car.
Although Tregurtha shared his car with Jonathan Cecotto, he alone claimed the championship because Cecotto had not contested the season-opener, Sportscar365 reported.
The separate Lamborghini World Finals follow at Monza. Sportscar365 reported that Tregurtha would partner Adam Putera, with Cecotto prioritising another entry in the event. Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday, followed by races that day and on Sunday.

Brendon Leitch and Nicolas Stati win the Pro title from ninth on the grid at Monza. Lewandowski retains his Am crown after a reprimand, while Rocky T Bolduc takes the LB Cup title.
