Three stages in Britain will open the women’s cycling race, which is set to finish on Puy de Dôme after three stages in the Massif Central.

The 2027 Tour de France Femmes will include its first team time trial in London, according to the route announcement reported by Cycling Weekly. Velo reports that race director Marion Rousse unveiled the nine-stage course in Paris on 22 October, with a total distance of 1,156km and 17,665 metres of climbing.
The women’s cycling race was revived in 2022. The new discipline pits teams against the clock, rather than riders competing individually.
The race is scheduled to start in Leeds on 30 July 2027, opening in Yorkshire’s hills. Three stages in Britain will precede six in France. Velo reports that the London team time trial on 1 August will cover 18km and finish on The Mall.

Cycling Weekly describes stage six to Bourges as an opportunity for sprinters. The final three stages then move into the Massif Central, a mountainous region of France. Stage seven finishes at La Loge des Gardes, and stage eight includes six categorised climbs—ascents graded for difficulty—on the way to Clermont-Ferrand.
The race is scheduled to finish on Saturday 7 August on Puy de Dôme, a dormant volcano just outside Clermont-Ferrand. Velo’s stage table lists the final stage as 170km. That is the full stage distance: the finishing climb itself is 14.2km at a reported gradient of 7.6%, an average rise of 7.6 metres for every 100 metres travelled horizontally.
