“Marshals” led entertainment viewing during October 4–10, 2026, with 15.14 million viewers across scheduled television and streaming, according to Nielsen figures reported by Variety. “Tracker” followed with 13.86 million. The two CBS series also led streaming-only viewing for the week.
CBS averaged 8.63 million viewers during its fall premiere week, a 14% increase over its 2025 premiere week, which began October 12. That compares the network’s season-opening weeks, rather than the same calendar dates in both years.
CBS’s analysis of Nielsen data placed seven of the network’s series among the week’s top 10 across scheduled television and streaming, excluding sports. Variety reported these audience totals for selected CBS programs:
| Series | Viewers |
|---|---|
| Marshals | 15.14 million |
| Tracker | 13.86 million |
| NCIS | 10.59 million |
| Cupertino | 7.17 million |
The season 24 premiere of “NCIS” drew 23% more viewers than its previous season premiere. That is a comparison between one show’s premieres, separate from CBS’s 14% increase across its full premiere week.

The figures use live-plus-seven measurement: live viewing plus viewing over the following seven days. The multiplatform totals cover scheduled television and streaming; the ranking’s methodology specifies a seven-day viewing window for streaming.
The ranking excludes specials, repeat broadcasts and sports, so it is not a ranking of all television viewing. For streaming series, its methodology includes only premiere episodes of new programs airing within October 4–10.
The new series “Cupertino” illustrates how the longer window changes the audience picture. Its live-plus-same-day audience was 3.19 million, compared with 7.17 million in the seven-day multiplatform total. Unlike the year-over-year comparisons, these figures show how the same program’s measured audience grew as later viewing was counted.
