Armenia’s Alina Charaeva defeated Germany’s Noma Noha Akugue 6–3, 6–4 on 1 November 2026, to win the Courmayeur WTA 125 tennis title in Italy.
The victory follows an earlier WTA 125 singles title at Midland in 2026, recorded on Charaeva’s WTA profile.
Sportaran said Charaeva won 5 matches on her way to the title. She reached the final with a straight-sets quarterfinal victory, followed by a semifinal that went to a deciding third set.

| Semifinal | Elsa Jacquemot | 6–2, 4–6, 6–1 |
Charaeva’s WTA profile lists her career-high ranking as No. 97, so she had already reached the top 100 before Courmayeur.
Sportaran projects that the title will lift Charaeva to world No. 82, a new career high. That position remains a forecast pending publication of the official rankings.
Her family announced her death on 1 November 2026. Mageean won European gold in 2024 and represented Ireland at two Olympics.
