Variety reported an October 2 release on Netflix and Amelia Dimoldenberg’s existing channels, plus a deal for selected past episodes.

Amelia Dimoldenberg’s interview series “Chicken Shop Date” has an announced Netflix release without leaving its existing channels. Variety reported on October 1 that the final season was scheduled for October 2, 2026, on Netflix, simultaneously with the host’s YouTube and social media channels. The arrangement adds a viewing option rather than making the season exclusive to Netflix.
Netflix is also licensing selected past episodes, according to Variety. The announced selection includes interviews with Andrew Garfield, Sabrina Carpenter, and Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman; it is not described as the show’s entire archive.
Dimoldenberg launched “Chicken Shop Date” in 2014 and had hosted 115 episodes by the time of Variety’s report. Filmed in local chicken shops, the series combines interviews with flirtation and deadpan humor—jokes delivered with a straight face. Dimoldenberg also directs the show and produces it through her company, Dimz Inc.
Early episodes largely featured British rappers. The guest list later expanded to prominent singers and film stars, including Jennifer Lawrence, Paul Mescal, Cynthia Erivo and Paul McCartney. The Netflix deal brings both the final season and a selection of those earlier interviews into the streaming company’s catalog.
Variety places the licensing deal within Netflix’s broader effort to work with online creators and compete with YouTube. Netflix has also licensed video podcasts and food and cooking content from creators. For “Chicken Shop Date,” the reported release plan combines that additional distribution with continued publication on Dimoldenberg’s own channels.

The black, gold and green edition follows September’s sold-out preorders. Nintendo’s replenished launch-day stock also quickly sold out.
