Production company Everlasting Films bought Roc-A-Fella co-founder Damon Dash’s life-story and film-project rights for $550,000 at a bankruptcy auction earlier in October. Billboard reported the completed sale, disclosed in an October 21, 2026 court filing, with the proceeds set to help repay Dash’s creditors.
The transaction is separate from the 2024 auction of Dash’s one-third stake in Roc-A-Fella to reduce his tax debts. Everlasting Films did not acquire any ownership shares in the record label through this sale.
Everlasting Films now holds exclusive rights to commercialize Dash’s life story, together with rights to his name, voice, image and likeness, Billboard reported. The company won the auction against one other bidder.
The purchase also includes 100 hours of Dash’s archival material dating back to 1990 and rights to a Roc-A-Fella movie project he had been developing.
Dash’s bankruptcy petition listed $25.3 million owed to creditors. His debts include millions of dollars in unpaid taxes and a defamation judgment, according to Billboard.
The case follows Chapter 7, a bankruptcy process in which a court-appointed trustee sells a debtor’s assets and uses the proceeds to repay creditors. The auction money will go toward that repayment process. Remaining debts can be erased at the end of the process; the sale itself does not settle Dash’s obligations.

The black, gold and green edition follows September’s sold-out preorders. Nintendo’s replenished launch-day stock also quickly sold out.
