Two attacks hours apart reportedly wounded seven female students and killed three security guards at Gaza City’s Islamic University.

Israeli attacks killed at least eight Palestinians across Gaza on October 25, Al Jazeera said. The outlet raised its toll from at least seven after a later fatal attack east of Khan Younis.
The attacks came a year after the ceasefire began in October 2025. They included two strikes on Gaza City’s Islamic University.
An Israeli attack targeting the Sheikh Nasser neighbourhood, east of Khan Younis, killed a man and injured several other people later on October 25, Al Jazeera said.
An earlier drone strike on the university campus wounded seven female students with flying shrapnel, Al Jazeera correspondent Hani Mahmoud said. One student was seriously injured and transferred to a nearby field hospital. An air strike hours later killed three security guards.
Most university buildings had already been destroyed; only a couple remained partially standing, Mahmoud said. Speaking from the scene immediately after the fatal strike, he said his team had finished filming and greeted the guards before they were killed.
