Meta has launched Waddle World, a free standalone app that presents voice-based journaling as a virtual-pet game. It is listed only for adults in the Philippines on the Apple App Store and Google Play, The Verge said on October 28.
Social-media consultant Matt Navarra noticed the app before that coverage. Its store listings describe it as “a daily journal disguised as a pet,” rather than a conventional pet-care game.
The listings invite users to hatch a pixel-style virtual pet and speak to it rather than type. They describe pets that chat with users and create doodles illustrating those conversations, turning spoken exchanges into an illustrated journal.
Users can also play small games, including stacking groceries and word games, the descriptions say. The Google Play listing invites users to visit whenever they like, with no streak of consecutive days to maintain and no scores to chase.
Whether Meta plans to release Waddle World outside the Philippines remains unclear. The Verge had asked the company for more information about availability when it published its October 28 article.

The W27 keeps the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra’s core hardware, with dark-red or dark-blue finishes, golden accents and 16GB of working memory in both storage versions.
