Nvidia says it has launched Minerva to monitor AI infrastructure

Nvidia says it launched Minerva on October 22, bringing together operating measurements from hardware and artificial intelligence (AI) workloads to help computing-cluster operators find problems earlier. The company describes the platform as combining monitoring, incident investigation and recommendations for fixes.
Nvidia says traditional monitoring often gives networking, computing and machine-learning teams separate views of the same operation. That separation matters because one degraded component can slow an entire training job across a cluster of graphics processing units, or GPUs—the chips used to train models and run AI applications.
Minerva builds what Nvidia calls a dynamic knowledge graph: a changing map linking equipment, such as GPUs, network switches and cables, with the jobs running on it. Nvidia says this map helps operators trace a slow training job to the component affecting it, rather than examine hardware and workload alerts separately.
According to Nvidia, Minerva learns normal operating behaviour, detects unusual activity and uses the connections between components to group related alerts into one incident. It presents a likely root cause, not an established diagnosis.
Nvidia says the built-in AI assistant uses live telemetry—measurements collected from running systems—to answer operators' questions about cluster health and recommend fixes. Teams can implement those fixes manually. Alternatively, they can connect Minerva to automation through external systems and application programming interfaces, the software connections through which systems exchange commands. Automated remediation is therefore an integration option, not a required operating mode.

Nvidia identifies IREN as already using Minerva. In the announcement, IREN’s chief technology officer, Denis Skrinnikoff, described how the shared view affects its operations team:
NVIDIA Minerva gives our operations team one view across the network, the GPUs and the jobs running on them, so we focus more on proactive maintenance rather than troubleshooting.
The next deployments remain plans: Nvidia says Aolani, Bitdeer AI, IBM, Jio, Lambda, Quake AI and Tesla intend to deploy Minerva. Separately, it says Lenovo and Supermicro will offer the platform in their AI-factory operations portfolios alongside Dell Technologies. Those supplier offerings are distinct from partners running Minerva themselves.

The satellite operator expects access to more than twice OneWeb’s current bandwidth in return for spending in 2027–2034, with initial IRIS² services expected from 2030.
