OpenAI says it is doubling ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium limits, while existing Pro $200 subscribers keep their Work and Codex allowance rather than face a reduction.
OpenAI says it is continuing extended usage limits for Dots, its always-on superintelligence (SI) assistants, “for now.” Dots usage will remain separate from subscribers’ default allowance. The company also announced higher subscription allowances on October 29, 2026, with immediate effect, BleepingComputer said.
OpenAI had planned to reduce the included allowance for existing ChatGPT Pro $200 subscribers after October 29 while keeping the price at $200 per month. The company says customer feedback prompted it to reverse that decision, preserving those subscribers’ existing Work and Codex usage.
Tibo, a public voice for ChatGPT and Codex on X, announced that OpenAI was doubling all usage limits for the plans below. The changes primarily affect ChatGPT Work and Codex, which share an allowance under eligible subscriptions.
