Engadget reports that the cooperative climbing game has reached PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2, letting friends play together across platforms.

Peak is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2 for $10, Engadget reported on October 24. The cooperative climbing game includes cross-play, which lets friends on different platforms climb together.
The release follows Peak’s Steam debut in 2025. Engadget reports that the game, a collaboration between developers from Aggro Crab and Landfall, has sold more than 23 million copies since then.
Engadget gives these launch prices for Peak:
| Release or offer | Price |
|---|---|
| Original Steam release | $8 |
| Steam introductory discount | $5 |
| Console release | $10 |
Engadget cites Peak developer Nick Kaman telling Game File that the team had doubled the game’s content since its initial release. Kaman linked the console price to that expansion, while noting that it was only $2 above the original Steam price.
Peak’s Steam description casts players as stranded scouts whose route to rescue runs up an island’s central mountain. Players can climb alone or invite up to three friends online. Teammates can pull one another onto ledges and place ropes and climbing spikes to make the route easier for those behind them.
Survival affects how far players can climb. According to the Steam description, scouts must scavenge food and manage injuries because setbacks reduce stamina, making the ascent harder.
The mountain layout changes every 24 hours, the Steam listing says. Friends can make repeated attempts on the same island during that day before the next layout arrives.

The black, gold and green edition follows September’s sold-out preorders. Nintendo’s replenished launch-day stock also quickly sold out.
