Actor André De Shields joins season two of The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins

Emmy, Tony and Grammy winner André De Shields has joined the second-season guest cast of The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins. He will play Vernon Bellow, a documentary filmmaker and mentor to Daniel Radcliffe’s Arthur Tobin, The Hollywood Reporter said on October 26.

The NBC comedy follows Tracy Morgan’s Reggie as he tries to recapture his glory days, alongside documentary filmmaker Arthur’s own efforts at redemption. The second season will continue both stories.

Four more guest roles

Jane Krakowski and Scott Adsit will reunite with Morgan, their former 30 Rock co-star. Their characters join a guest lineup that also includes Edi Patterson and Jason Mantzoukas:

• Krakowski will play Angela Broyer, an interior decorator to the stars in northern New Jersey. She went to high school with Reggie and knew him when he was dating Monica.
• Adsit will play Ed Sommers, a local man who always plays Santa at the neighborhood Christmas tree lighting—a role Rusty wants.
• Patterson will play Lisa, the head of the homeowners association, who has the final say on who plays Santa.
• Mantzoukas will play Peter Za, a music producer working on a video with Brina, played by Precious Way.

The second season is scheduled to begin November 2.
