A bug leaves some Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra phones stuck during initial setup, preventing affected users from completing the steps needed to use their devices normally, 9to5Google reports. The phones display “the webpage is unavailable” when trying to open an account page on Samsung’s website.
In a translated forum response reproduced by 9to5Google, a Samsung representative said the issue appeared after the One UI 9.0 software update. The representative said Samsung’s development team had confirmed that the problem occurs with an unstable system WebView on certain networks. WebView is the component that displays web pages inside apps.
The problem appears to occur during setup. According to 9to5Google, users whose phones are already configured probably will not encounter it unless they reset their devices. The number of affected phones and a timetable for a fix remain unclear.
For users stuck at the account page, 9to5Google says switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data may allow setup to continue. Results vary, so changing networks is a possible workaround rather than a guaranteed fix.

The W27 keeps the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra’s core hardware, with dark-red or dark-blue finishes, golden accents and 16GB of working memory in both storage versions.
