Valentin Vacherot recovered from a set down to beat Jiri Lehecka 2–6, 6–3, 6–3 in the Swiss Indoors final in Basel on 1 November 2026, winning his second career title.
The unseeded player from Monaco had won his previous title at the 2025 Shanghai Masters after coming through qualifying. Lehecka, the eighth-seeded Czech player, entered the Basel final seeking his first title of the year.
Vacherot converted a greater share of his break points—chances to win a game on his opponent’s serve—and saved 7/10 of those he faced.
| Player | Break points won/chances |
|---|---|
| Valentin Vacherot | 4/7 |
| Jiri Lehecka | 3/10 |
Championship point ended when Lehecka’s two-handed backhand landed just out. Vacherot celebrated by waving his racket to the Basel fans, Associated Press said.
Tennis Majors projects that Vacherot will return to the top 30 at No. 27 on Monday, 2 November 2026.
The outlet says both finalists move on to the Rolex Paris Masters. Vacherot is scheduled to face Novak Djokovic in the first round. Lehecka opens against Alex Michelsen, with Carlos Alcaraz awaiting the winner.
