Taylor Swift has tied Rihanna’s all-time record of 30 top-ten entries on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart. “Patient Zero” rises three places to No. 10 on the October 31, 2026-dated ranking.
The singers also share the record for total appearances, with 52 entries each. That total counts songs that reached any position on the 40-place chart; their 30 top-ten entries are the songs that reached No. 10 or higher.
Swift’s first Pop Airplay entry, “Teardrops on My Guitar,” reached No. 7 in February 2008. Rihanna’s top tens span from “Pon de Replay,” which reached No. 2 in September 2005, through “Wild Thoughts,” which reached No. 4 in September 2017.
Swift began in country music, with early songs including “Teardrops on My Guitar” crossing over to pop radio, before shifting to pop with her 2014 album 1989. Barbadian singer Rihanna debuted with the Caribbean-inspired albums Music of the Sun in 2005 and A Girl Like Me in 2006.
Pop Airplay ranks songs by their weekly plays on nearly 150 US mainstream top 40 radio stations. Mediabase counts those plays, and Luminate supplies the data to Billboard. The chart began in October 1992, so the tie concerns its history of mainstream pop-radio play.
“Patient Zero” is one of four new songs on the deluxe edition of Swift’s 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl. That expanded edition was released on September 25, 2026.
The song had already reached No. 1 on the separate Billboard Hot 100. It debuted at the top on the October 10-dated chart, becoming Swift’s 16th Hot 100 leader, and stayed there for its first three weeks.

The black, gold and green edition follows September’s sold-out preorders. Nintendo’s replenished launch-day stock also quickly sold out.

Either Swift or Rihanna would take the top-ten record outright by adding a 31st entry, provided the other remained on 30.

Her 16 September–October shows grossed $125.5 million and sold 539,000 tickets, setting records for revenue and attendance per performance.
