Reigning champions Leinster recovered from 13–5 down at half-time to beat Munster 24–18 in the United Rugby Championship, securing a bonus-point victory before 37,193 spectators at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium. The league has since confirmed that Leinster prop Tadhg Furlong faces a disciplinary complaint over alleged genital grabbing involving Munster’s Gavin Coombes.
In a statement published by RugbyPass on 26 October, the league said the citing commissioner—the official who submits complaints about foul play—had made a complaint against Furlong concerning Coombes. A citation starts disciplinary proceedings; it is not a finding of guilt or a ban.
The league said Furlong was cited under Law 9.27. That rule prohibits conduct against the spirit of good sportsmanship, including grabbing, twisting or squeezing the genitals.
Captain Dan Sheehan said Leinster needed a half-time “reality check” to improve their work at the breakdown—the contest for possession after a tackle—where Munster’s Tadhg Beirne had been particularly effective. Sheehan said Leinster played against the wind before the break, then used it, played in better areas of the pitch and took their chances.
Munster coach Clayton McMillan said his team had put themselves in a position to win and wanted more than a narrow defeat against a strong opponent. He said ten penalties in the first 20 minutes of the second half allowed Leinster to capitalise.

Ospreys beat Dragons for a third straight win, setting up a home meeting with Cardiff before the Nations Championship break.

The league said details of Furlong’s disciplinary hearing would be announced in due course. As of its 26 October announcement, it had announced neither a hearing date nor a sanction.
