Ospreys beat Dragons for a third straight win, setting up a home meeting with Cardiff before the Nations Championship break.

Ospreys’ third successive win left them seventh in the United Rugby Championship, while Scarlets and Cardiff both lost in the latest matches involving Wales’ four rugby union clubs.
Scarlets lost 52–40 to Stormers in Cape Town after recovering to level the scores with 14 minutes remaining. They stood 14th with eight points after four matches.
Scarlets trailed 33–14 at half-time before Joe Roberts completed his hat-trick of three tries to bring them level at 40–40. They never moved ahead, and Stormers replacement fly-half Yaqeen Ahmed scored two late tries to secure the win.
The teams scored 14 tries between them, six by Scarlets. A try is scored by grounding the ball in the opponents’ in-goal area. Scarlets earned one league bonus point for their try-scoring, but lost the additional bonus point for a narrow defeat while pursuing a draw that would have brought three league points.

Ospreys’ win marked their return to St Helen’s on 24 October. BBC Sport said on 25 October that the club returned while redevelopment was still under way, after playing in Bridgend in 2025–26. Reuben Morgan-Williams scored two tries as Ospreys completed a season double over Dragons in wind and rain before 5,592 spectators.
Sharks became the first visiting team to win at Cardiff’s Arms Park in 2026. James Botham scored two tries, made 27 tackles and won three turnovers to regain possession for Cardiff, but the home side spent the final quarter pinned inside their own half.
Cardiff have already finished two league games without a match point this season, compared with just one last season. They are seeking a second successive place in the play-offs.
Ospreys host Cardiff in the final league round before the Nations Championship break. Morgan-Williams will miss the match because of Wales commitments, as will Cardiff’s Botham.
Scarlets next visit Bulls, while Dragons face Zebre.

Connacht beat Zebre Parma 48–27 for their second win, while Sharks defeated Cardiff 36–21 for their third. Zebre earned their first league point despite losing.
