My Chemical Romance have earned their first UK No. 1 album with the anniversary reissue of The Black Parade, which tops Official Charts’ album rankings on 30 October 2026.
The New Jersey rock band released The Black Parade, its third studio album, on 23 October 2006. It originally peaked at No. 2 that November.
The band had already led the UK singles chart with “Welcome to the Black Parade” in October 2006.
What the anniversary edition adds
On 10 September, NME said the expanded 20th-anniversary edition was due on 23 October 2026 through Reprise Records. It adds 6 bonus tracks, including live recordings from an October 2007 show in Hoboken and “Someone Out There Loves You.”
The announced vinyl formats included a 2LP edition, a 1LP hologram edition and a One Step package limited to 7,000 copies, made using the original analog master recordings.
An earlier anniversary edition, The Black Parade/Living with Ghosts, arrived on 23 September 2016, pairing the original album with a disc of unreleased demos.

Billboard said Miller became the first Welsh act to lead the chart in 15 years, since Sian Evans featured on DJ Fresh’s 2011 chart-topper “Louder.” He is also the first Welsh male solo act to achieve the feat in 41 years, following Shakin Stevens’ “Merry Christmas Everyone” in 1985.
